Deletion removes account data from DRIP’s active systems. Copies may remain in restricted recovery systems until they expire: scheduled database backups are retained for 7 days, and deleted or replaced media versions in DRIP’s encrypted off-site backup may remain for up to 30 days. These backups are used for service recovery and are not restored for ordinary product use.
DRIP may preserve a limited record when required to comply with tax, accounting, consumer-protection, court-order, fraud-prevention, safety, security, or dispute obligations, or while a legal hold applies. There is no single period that applies to every such record: it is kept only for the period required by the applicable law or legal process, then deleted or de-identified when the obligation ends.
Deletion does not erase content or records that DRIP is legally required to preserve, nor information another user independently provided or is required to retain.
